This painting is inspired by one of the hardest hikes I've ever done (hence the name) up Thunder Mountain. It was a last-minute decision, and the view from the top was 100% worth barely being able to walk the next day. This view is of Mendenhall Glacier and Mendenhall lake, from a viewpoint much less well-known than others.
